Rimmel Moisture Renew Lipstick In 180 Vintage Pink |
I'm sure everyone and their mother has tried Rimmel's Moisture Renew Lipsticks.
I have until now only tried one and that was the shade Nude Delight, which I didn't really like on account that I just cant seem to get nude lip shades to work for me, but the formula of the lipstick was one that I really liked.
I wanted to try some of the other shades, but none of them stood out to me the few times I swatched them so the thought left my mind altogether, until recently when Rimmel re-packaged and re-formulated the already pretty good Moisture Renew lipstick line.
I spotted this shade Vintage Pink, which I had never seen before. I
f it is new or not since they changed things up or if no where around me had this particular shade on sale, I don't know, but this is my kind of shade of lipstick and I just had to give it a go!
Vintage Pink is a dusty mauvy pink shade, which in some lights looks more rosy and in other lights it leans more to the purple side of things.
For me this is another one of those 'My lips but better shades' as it isn't too far away from my own natural lip colour.
It's a really wearable colour that's easy to wear, subtle enough for the day time but also interesting enough to pull an evening look together if you don't want a bold lip look and want the eyes to be the focus of your look.
I find all lipsticks to be drying because my lips seem to repel moisture, but these lipsticks are comfortable enough for even me to wear.
Actual wear time is a good 2-3 hours before a top up is needed, probably longer if you're not always drinking something like I am.
The only thing I don't like about it is the scent.
I'm a person who usually likes scents in lipsticks, but to me Rimmel's lipsticks have a really unusual scent that I don't care for, but I don't let it stop me using them because they do make some really great lipsticks that wont leave you broke!
Have any of you tried the new Moisture Renew formula yet?
