Catrice Liquid Camouflage High Coverage Concealer
Long time no speak!
I'm not going to make excuses for not posting, I've been busy with college and with life and also about 6 months back when I came onto the blog to write a post, I noticed that all my photos had disappeared from every post that I have ever written, and I couldn't figure out how to get them back. Which was so disheartening to see all the time that I put into making my posts was wasted so I just didn't want to write anything else for a long time. But today I feel like writing! :)
A few months back I had run out of my Seventeen lasting perfection concealer, which I really love, and took a stroll down to Boots to get more. Of course with Boots being Boots, every bloody tube of concealer had been opened and messed with (why do people do this!?) so I wasn't going to buy any of them because no one wants a concealer that someone has been playing with. Annoyed I then went to Cara pharmacy for a nose and spotted a new concealer from Catrice that I hadn't seen before. I purchased a tube of their Liquid Camouflage concealer in shade 010 Porcellain, thinking 'ah sure it'll do until I can get the other one'.
Let's just say I haven't bought the other one since.
On the side of the tube the concealer claims to be high coverage, being able to cover under eye circles, spots and even tattoos as well as being ultra long lasting. I don't know about tattoos as I don't have any, but on spots it works a treat! It is also great on the under eye circles, it doesn't crease and stays put all day. I have a lot of redness around my nose and on my chin too and it covers that really well too. As for the ultra long lasting claim, I'd say it is long lasting and doesn't budge for the majority of the day, but I have noticed that if my skin is oily in places, it breaks down a little and starts to go a bit patchy but I have mostly dry skin so this isn't a huge problem but it is something to bear in mind if you're on the oilier side.
The Liquid Camouflage Concealer costs under €4.00 and is well worth trying, I'm so glad I accidentally found this concealer, it's fast become a make up bag staple of mine!

Seventeen Stay Time Concealer
Long time no see! Hope you're all keeping well, I know - I've been a bad blogger! I don't have any excuses for my absence except that I've just been enjoying life and blogging has taken a backseat to all the things that are keeping me busy these days! Blogging is something I've always enjoyed though so here's hoping I can find some more time for it from now on! So, excuses out of the way, let's get down to business!
For some reason my nearest Boots does not have a Collection stand, which in my opinion is a crime, seeing as I have to travel to Dublin if I ever run out of my beloved Lasting Perfection Concealer. I had literally been scraping every last bit of my last tube of said concealer for months and was going out for drinks one night with the Mr, and I couldn't get any more out of the tube! I legged it to Boots in desperate need of concealer anything would have done so I ran to the Seventeen stand because I didn't fancy spending the guts of 15 euro on a concealer that I probably wouldn't like so I settled for Seventeen's Stay Time Concealer which only set me back €6.50 or so. I picked up the shade fair, and I have to say I have been pretty impressed with this concealer since the first use.
The shade matches my pasty complexion perfectly, the concealer claims to be full coverage and I have to say that it covers blemishes really well even the biggest and angriest ones! I also use this under my eyes and it doesn't crease and covers the discolouration there pretty well too. Staying power is great it doesn't budge at all throughout the day, as for if it stays for up 18 hours like it claims to I'm unsure as I don't think I've ever worn it that long but I'd imagine that it could last that long as it is still perfectly intact when I go to remove my make up at the end of the day. I often wear this concealer alone with no foundation and just powder over the top and it covers everything brilliantly on its own without foundation.
I absolutely love Collection's Lasting Perfection Concealer and it is still my absolute favourite but this offering from Seventeen comes seriously close to being just as good and is a great alternative if like me your nearest Boots doesn't have a Collection stand!
Do you have any recommendations for other great cheap high street/drugstore concealers?

The Best Under Eye Concealer I Have Ever Tried Is...
The Lacura Beauty Concealer Pen!
Shocked!? I was too! For those of you who don't live in Ireland, or anywhere that has the supermarket chain called Lidl or was it Aldi? Can't remember, but I think it was Aldi! (both unbelieveably cheap supermarkets, that some people think sells nothing but rubbish) you probably won't be able to get your hands on this, but as far as I know everywhere in Europe has Lidl! Anyway I wouldn't have looked twice at the make up in Lidil before, but I was reading a magazine that said this stuff is amazing, and it's also only like €2!So I decided to try it and well, it's the best concealer I have used under my eyes, EVER! There are a good few shades of this, the one I have is Cashmere which looks like this:
Swatched
Blended
It's a really creamy, really blendable concealer, it basically just melts into your skin. There's a few reasons why this is so good for under your eyes. The first is because it's a highlighting concealer pen, which brightens up the skin under your eyes. It's got a slight pinkish tone to it too which helps cover up any blue tones in the inner corners or under your eyes. It's not only good for brightening and concealing either, I put this stuff over my whole eyelid and it makes a great base for eyeshadow. Also this stuff has never creased on me like other concealers do under my eyes. So you're pretty much getting a lot of uses out of this pen that only costs a few euro. The only thing it isn't great for is as a concealer for spots, because of the brightening effect, it just draws more attention to them, so you need a seperate concealer for that, but this concealer pen is well worth getting!
Thanks for reading and take care
